We have acted as local counsel representing Lafarge S.A. in its acquisition of Orascom Building Materials Holding S.A.E. with a value of USD 15 billion in January 2008; an acquisition equivalent to the total foreign investments in Egypt in the years 2007 and 2006.

We have also represented the lenders in one of the largest container terminals in Damietta resulting in a USD 480 million deal considered as one of the largest projects in the privatization of public services in the marine sector; deal was completed in December 2007.

I&D is currently advising one of the global leading technology licensors in a Clean Breeze Project planning the upgrade of the technical facilities of a petroleum refinery in Egypt.
